I LOVE IT!! thank you Jenny for sharing that - how true is it! and a bit daunting once you have the man! BUT fabulous news for beforehand!! LOL Truly, it was quite profound what you wrote and i would love to write an article around that - would you mind? YOu nearly made me cry with what you wrote....how beautiful - i really would love to create something around your reply if you would let me know if you are ok with it? TA DA to you for being so wise and maybe you could start a joy tribe in your area around that idea ..teach others to do the same as you have done - sit around and focus on the lovable!! I think you have the basis of changing many people's lives - bless you and thanks again for sharing! amanda

The words of my many times married grandmother were a gift that once I understood what she was complaining about proved to be just the most helpful thing to know about relationships and the way people are.
She said in regard to one of her more unpleasent husbands "What youv'e got is what you get". Once I figured out that it was her trying to "makeover" the men she married into what she thought they should be instead of accepting that none were perfect but neither was she and that maybe by loving the lovable and making the best of the rest just might make for more peace and contentmentin her life.

I watched my mother do as her mother had done and decided it was not a great way to live so decided to love the loveable and make the best of the rest and now am about to celebrate 48 years of a great partnership. Am the least married member of my family and somehow find that it is the simple things like can "I get you a cuppa" from an 82 year old frail stroke surviver who wants to try in any way he can to support me because I have had to support him financially and in everyother way for the last 27 years is what life is really all about.
