Thanks, Amanda, for sharing your past belief about men and how you have come to a new realization of the basis for that belief. I left a marriage after 22 years with a man who could not exist without drinking and the verbal abuse that went along with it. Have remarried to a kind sensitive person who gets me. I, too, try to teach others about turning inward and getting tuned into their own journey and learning the lessons of life. And I struggle to take the time for myself to listen. A great book to keep on your shelf for reference is Ted Andrews Animal Speak. There are reasons birds and other animals come in to our lives to give us messages. And if it becomes clear that an animal has shown itself several times to you (and it can be a dead animal on the road as with the skunks I kept seeing-which meant to put boundaries in place with certain people in my life). When I got the message, the road became free of skunk bodies. I know that sounds weird but God does work in mysterious ways and we are still learning all the ways we can get guidance for our lives.
Thank you for your honesty, you have been an inspiration in my life since I saw you on stage and purchased your DVD, Live Out Loud complete with magic wand! Thanks for the joy reminder, I was just playing some Luther Vandross today while trying to get the song "Man in the Mirror" from Michael Jackson out of my head...have been singing it everyday...I guess that this is just a sign to keep working on myself and doing that mirror work that Louise Hay talks about "I love you" in the mirror several times every day to help to get past the painful lessons of the past.
Blessings, Ann
